Health and Safety Update
An update on the Savannah African Art Museum's response to the Coronavirus:
Our hours will be as follows:
Wednesday - Saturday | 11 am - 5 pm with the last tour starting at 4 pm.
All tours through the museum are guided and align with the below schedule:
(This allows for us to maintain a proper sanitization schedule between groups)
What to expect during the reopening:
Masks will be required for all visitors and staff.
If you do not have a mask, masks will be available in a kit at the front desk. This kit includes one mask and one glove to be used for the stairway handrails.
Tour group capacity at the museum is reduced.
We will be limiting our group size to 5 people per group and limiting available tours to only West or Central Africa. Highlights tours will be temporarily unavailable.
If you have a group of 10 or more the group will have to be split up into separate smaller groups.
Tours will also be limited to 30 minutes to ensure that the public areas can be sanitized
Signage will be placed throughout the museum to direct flow and to encourage social distancing.
Sanitizer stations will be located throughout the building for guests and staff.
During phase 1 of reopening, we will continue to have our virtual resources available, such as, Virtual Tours.
