Featuring the Diaspora Marketplace and Local Fine Artist William Kwamena-Poh
at the Savannah African Art Museum

To complement our Kwanzaa workshop series, we’re pleased to offer guests a Kwanzaa Shopping Experience! For two days visitors will have two opportunities to get some last-minute holiday shopping finished while supporting a local black-owned business and African artist. 

Cash, Credit & Debit Cards will be accepted by both vendors on both days of the market.

“The Diaspora Marketplace” will be here with authentic items for sale from some of the West & Central African countries our collection is from and more.

The Diaspora Marketplace is a Savannah staple located at 510 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd for the past 20 years, specializing in imports from the African Diaspora. After all SAAM tours, we invite our visitors to visit the Diaspora Marketplace on site where they may purchase imported clothing, fabric, home goods, jewelry, instruments, art from some of the places they have just learned about. We are extremely excited that the Marketplace will be available to our visitors for shopping right here at SAAM.

Shop the Art of William Kwamena-Poh
at the Savannah African Art Museum

Fine Artist, William Kwamena - Poh will be here with a taste of Ghana via his water-color images of Ghanaian scenes for sale (originals, Limited Ed, prints).

If you attended our 1st Juneteenth Celebration on 6/19 you may remember the beautiful, featured artwork of Ghana native William Kwamena-Poh that was available for sale. William has been based in Savannah at a City Market studio at 309 West Saint Julian Street, Studio #8 for nearly 20 years. We are pleased that he will be here with artwork available for sale for our SAAM visitors.
